Selection of Deacons

New board members are appointed by the current Board, subject to a congregational vote of approval at the annual members meeting. Church members may nominate potential Board members. The nomination process begins in September. Deacons serve for a three year term.

Responsibilities of the Church Board

What is our vision? What are our values? What do we do as a church? Who do we serve or support? Where do we serve? What takes priority? Are we being effective? These are the key questions our Church Board works through. Since we are continually growing and evolving as a church, the answers must be reviewed on an on-going basis.

Other responsibilities of the Board include designing its structure and governance processes, giving management authority and responsibility to the Lead Pastor and reviewing its own performance on an annual basis.
