Information: Pastor Mark Baker was drawn to follow Christ after the passing of his father, from a simple desire to be like his Dad, and study the Word of God. He was born in Scarborough, Ontario, and grew up in Victoria Corner, New Brunswick.

After receiving a Bachelor of Theology degree from the New Brunswick Bible Institute, he served as the Pastor of Habitation Baptist Church for six years. God then led him to StoneRidge Fellowship as the vibrant and exuberant Youth Pastor.

He met his lovely wife, Shelly, in Bible School, and the Lord has blessed them with
four beautiful children: Jonathan, Jessica, Jordan and Jaylyn. He enjoys coaching and playing basketball, snowboarding, being involved with his community and, most importantly, chauffeuring the Baker clan around.

His greatest joy is seeing people embrace peace through Christ and engaging in a life of fellowship, and watching their lives change. His personal purpose statement is "To invest in the life of others that they might progress in their potential for Jesus in serving and living".

Pastor Mark has a natural gift to teach, lead, and mentor as he impacts people through communicating God’s truth, and he uses these talents in his position as the Assistant Pastor for Ministry Development. Pastor Mark’s vision and purpose is a Christ-centered ministry, focused on the people — not just focused on getting people to build the vision, but ensuring the vision is building the people of God.

His favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 9:19-22, where Paul met people where they were, on their terms. By following Paul’s ministry, he has impacted countless numbers of people to follow Jesus Christ.

Pastor Mark is a man of faith, standing on the principles of God and His Son, Jesus Christ, who hopes to help the people of God on their designated journey.
